Whether planning a website, editing a book or writing an article, I’m always looking for one thing—a good story line.

I started out in New York book publishing, working as a foreign rights editor. I quickly mastered speed reading on the subway and consumed at least two manuscripts a week. I wrote about the latest American book projects for editors in Europe and sent out weekly newsletters. When I longed to travel, my job was something of a consolation, a way to stay in touch with European capitals even if I couldn't be there.

The Internet beckoned in the late 90s and I began working as a producer at media companies — CBS, Barnes & Noble and MTV among others.   I learned about publishing schedules and launch dates that came harder and faster than anything I'd seen in the book world.   I now specialize in user experience and information architecture and have planned the content and layout of many a website from the ground up.

This year I've taken the plunge and gone freelance, returning to my first love — writing. I'm covering arts for Flavorpill and Shotgun Review, writing for Common Ground and keeping a blog on photo news called Tiny Windows. I've got a feature story coming out in the September issue of Common Ground.

If you're looking for someone who loves words, can turn a sentence and deliver it on time, then I hope you'll feel free to contact me.
