I love putting words together and I’ve worked as a freelance writer covering art, sustainability, food, and travel for Make, Craft, Flavorpill, JetBlue, NatGeo, and more.

Contributing writer

City Editor, Jet Blue
I covered dining, shopping, hotels, culture, and insider interviews for JetBlue's SF city guide. Managed editorial calendar. Wrote 2-3 posts per day. Food and venue photography. Social media.

Arts writer, Flavorpill
I crafted snappy, 100-word write-ups of Bay Area cultural events for Flavorpill's weekly calendar. Developed relationships with local gallerists and artists.

Arts writer, The Monthly
Wrote arts reviews for East Bay monthly as well as longer feature pieces on arts and lifestyle topics.

Travel writer, MondoWindow
Wrote travel highlights for SXSW launch of MondoWindow, an inflight, location-aware travel site for WiFi-enabled planes.

Video stories

I wanted to expand my storytelling toolkit so I pitched local interest video stories to the neighborhood monthly, all of which I shot and produced.

Book editing

Running through Fire
Publisher: Mercury House.
I copyedited this Holocaust memoir by Zosia Goldberg, a strong, spirited Jewish woman born in Poland who managed to escape the death camps by passing as a Gentile. The book was published by Mercury House, a small literary publisher in San Francisco.

Moon Metro Paris
Publisher: Avalon Travel.
I've spent time in Paris both studying and working, so I jumped at the chance to fact check and copyedit this pocket guide to the City of Lights. Fun, but also a whirlwind of hard work and a relentless quest to make sure every phone number, address and street map were correct.

Blog

Tiny Windows
Photography has always been an interest and I created this blog as a way to cover photo shows, books, artist projects, and found photography.
